Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Objective:  The specialist will successfully provide consultative services in the areas of training, trouble shooting, and system build and optimization, as well as coordination of vendor and level 2 support for electronic health records systems to new and existing PracticeMax clients.

Essential Functions:

  • Primary contact when a client needs to leverage their existing electronic health records systems.
  • Responsible for understanding of system features, options for customization, limitations, and functionality to include document management, eRX, patient portal, interfaces, template design, and integrations with other PracticeMax products.
  • Ability to optimize practice workflow for care coordination purposes.
  • Ability to review available resources and create a roll-out and training process for EHR leveraging existing materials and creating new ones, as needed.
  • Evaluate and communicate complex procedures and break them down into easy to understand steps.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and provide guidance on how to manage production and patient quality for their practices.
  • Expected travel is about 30% of the time.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in office based medical practice environment, as a vendor or staff preferred.
  • Familiarity with practice workflow and electronic health records.
  • Understanding of MACRA/MIPS EHR incentive programs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to be a team player


  • eCW eHR certification required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent. Some college, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in health care related field strongly preferred.
