Job Description: Air Ambulance Billing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and coordinates billing and collection activities for air ambulance operations.
  • Oversees and leads employee workload and performance within the department.
  • Processes and maintains an accounts-receivable/billing workload in a timely manner.
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy of client billing and invoices. Sends out invoices in a timely manner.
  • Processes A/R adjustments for client accounts relating to Alia MedFlight.
  • Maintains a clean aging for client related accounts in the Accounts Receivable system.
  • Performs account reconciliations.
  • Posts payments received to client accounts.
  • Facilitates the collections process for aging accounts.
  • Process account setups, changes, closures, etc. for assigned workload.
  • Prepares account statements; processes refunds.
  • Performs other job-related duties and functions as required and assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience performing billing and collecting for a fixed wing, air ambulance service or a closely related function is required.
  • Strong familiarity with air ambulance coding and claim submission
  • 2 Year Degree with focus on Accounting, Bookkeeping or Finance preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate experience with MS Excel.
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate verbally and in written format in a professional manner with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability in completing tasks on time.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, and be a team player.
  • Proficient in 10-Key operation by touch and data entry.
